While I Was in the Shower
November 21, 2011Saturday, my husband left half his chicken parmesan sandwich for me on the kitchen counter. When I came into the kitchen, the paper plate was on the floor, the meat portion of the sandwich was gone and my 12-year-old Jack Russell Terrier, who spends most of her time sleeping, was licking the tile.
This is the kitchen counter (it's not usually so clean).
This is the dog.
She usually looks like this:
Do you think she’s just lulling our suspicions?

LOL!! She's got you so wrapped around that furry little paw you can't even begin to see her evil and cunning ways!
ReplyDeleteYou got that right!
ReplyDeleteWhat a funny story. Hopefully the cute story/memory is worth the lack of lunch that day.
ReplyDeleteLOL!! OMG - our dog (90 pound lab) is big enough to grab stuff off the counter, but I wouldn't have thought your little one could do that. But food is a great motivator!
ReplyDelete:) My smile for the morning! That's a tall counter for a little dog - but she does look pretty springy!
ReplyDeleteClaire--I don't begrudge her the sandwich--the story was worth it!
ReplyDeleteCheryl--Yup--food is the BEST motivator for Scout. I guess I should be glad she can still jump that high!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth--She is pretty springy, but I didn't realize she was quite THAT springy!
ReplyDeleteI'm sure she was thinking--yessss! Delicious! I noticed that a cake that had been sitting on the counter had a bite in it--in the middle! At least it wasn't frosted. I think my cat was curious, but as she probably isn't much of a sugar fiend there was only a taste gone. I have no idea how she got to the middle, though---streeeetch, I guess.
ReplyDeleteHee...guess she wanted to see what good thing you were keeping from her!
ReplyDeleteLol, well personally I am glad the dog won the bite for a change!
ReplyDeleteWhose side are you on?? :)
