Family, Friends
June 20, 2012
“You must remember, family is often born of blood, but it
doesn't depend on blood. Nor is it exclusive of friendship. Family members can
be your best friends, you know. And best friends, whether or not they are
related to you, can be your family.”

(I’ve had family visiting for the past five days so I haven’t
been online much—I’ll be catching up on reading, commenting and posting in the
next couple days!)

Nice quote and great picture to go with it. Hope you had a nice visit!
ReplyDeleteLove the quote! And the picture too. :)
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great time with your visitors!
Thanks, Cheryl and Michelle--we did have fun. Now I have to recover from the party!
ReplyDeleteThe quote is so true...we are family to someone who is not related to us in any way, and grateful to be there for them.
ReplyDeleteSo nice for you and your immediate family to catch up with those you don't see every day. Spending time reconnects us to each other. There is a lot that goes on in casual conversation and shared meals that we're not always aware of - enjoy!!!
Beautiful thoughts and photo. I'm so glad I found your blog - it will become one of my simple pleasures!
ReplyDeleteElizabeth--you can certainly do a lot of catching up while cooking and cleaning up, taking walks and floating in the pool, which we did.
ReplyDeleteJean--Welcome! I'm so glad you've found Catching Happiness and hope you'll continue to visit and find it a simple pleasure!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Kathy! Enjoy your visit, we will be here after they go home, lol.
