Laure--Recognized the photo, eh? :) I think we get caught up in our shoulds and musts and forget to be nice to ourselves. Hope you treat yourself with something special today.
I'm all for small treats. Yesterday I saw a friend who was in town that I hadn't seen in years. We got to spend the afternoon together and before we each went our separate ways we stopped at a little cafe and had smoothies--I know this sounds silly, but I rarely splurge on something like a smoothie (I'm too cheap generally to buy a $4 drink!), but I must say it was yummy and I had great company!
Danielle--We're usually told that we fritter our money away by buying lattes (or smoothies), but an occasional splurge like that is good for the soul, I think! It wouldn't be as special if you did it every day, but there's always SOME small something you can do without ruining your finances. (The picture of the daffodils was taken in San Francisco, by the way, and I bought some as a treat!)

ReplyDeleteNow, isn't that the truth! It kind of reminds me of "Do small things with great love."
