The Year in Review: 2015 in Pictures and Posts
December 28, 2015It
seems like only yesterday that I was contemplating the fresh new calendar year
of 2015, and yet here we are only four days away from 2016. In looking back
over the year, I notice that I’ve chosen to write about—and highlight
here—mostly 2015’s simple pleasures and everyday adventures—and that’s fitting
for the theme of this blog. The one glaring exception is the post I wrote about
the death of our dog. I haven’t chosen to share the details of every moment
good or bad (you’re welcome), merely the ones I thought you would enjoy hearing
about or possibly learn from along with
me. Even though I try to remain positive, and to focus on what good and useful
things can be taken from difficult or painful experiences, life is rarely ever
all good or all bad, but a mixture of both. Here’s a look back at my 2015 in
pictures and posts.

What a fun way to review the year! It has flown by ridiculously fast or so it seems to me. I was working on review of my year as well and was quite surprised to see all the different "events" that were packed in there. In many ways it didn't seem that busy, just fast. And as you say, it was a mixed bag of good and not so good.
ReplyDeleteWishing you and yours a very bright, festive, successful and happy New Year!
Laure--Like you, I felt like 2015 really sped by, and it was comforting to go back through the blog to see how much really did happen. The year wasn't wasted!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the New Year wishes--wishing you the same!
I love this post and had it marked in Feedly. Had I planned better I would have copied you for my own end of the year wrap up! :) Happy New Year Kathy--many thanks for all the wonderful comments--I love chatting with you and look forward to more bookish chats in 2016! As for me--I hope next year to be better organized and not fall so far behind like I did this year--I always felt frazzled and felt like I was missing out on things online that I would have enjoyed. We'll see--I just need to 'grow' more free time!
ReplyDeleteDanielle--I've copied you a number of times, so I'd be pleased if you copied me! Happy New Year to you, and I hope 2016 holds many delights, bookish and otherwise, for you. Thank you for all the new books I've discovered through your blog. I love chatting about books with you--and wish we could do it in person someday.
