“To be creative means to be in love with life. You can be
creative only if you love life enough that you want to enhance its beauty, you
want to bring a little more music to it, a little more poetry to it, a little
more dance to it.”

Well, yes...but I think a lot of creativity comes from sadness about life too...a way to cope, to heal...perhaps deeply feeling the non-happy feelings are a form of love too...I don't know...
ReplyDeleteRita--that is absolutely true. Art and creativity are great helps in the healing process, and the depth of experience and character that comes from sadness and suffering enrich all forms of art. Excellent point.
DeleteKathy this quote is wonderful. There are times when I write or paint that I question the validity. Yet I am reminded that so much of life would be dull and colorless if creative souls didn't create. Thank you for sharing. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDebbie--Using creativity benefits both the creator and the audience, don't you think? And life certainly would be dull without people who share their creations--like you!
