“Wealth is
the power to choose.
Financial
wealth is the power to choose how to spend money.
Social
wealth is the power to choose who to hang out with.
Time wealth
is the power to choose how to spend your day.
Mental wealth is the power to choose how to spend your
attention.”

Very helpful to reflect on...as opposed to the narrow definition that seems to prevail in our culture. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteI think a lot about how so much of what I do becomes rote, and I really have more choice than I think I do. This is a quote that has been and will continue to be on my mind.
DeleteTo answer a question you asked about a week ago: We are now in the beginning of full blossom spring with forsythia, daffodils, and danelions...little green tree leaves, some still wrapped up tight, others unfolding, lime greens...Magnolia (?) blossoms...Still very cool here...(which I love...) So many people are out walking these days...Hope your weather is pleasant for you and your horse and family!
ReplyDeleteOh, it sounds so wonderful! I'm jealous of your cooler weather (always). It's not too bad here yet. Fairly hot, but the humidity hasn't been too bad. I have a feeling that will change soon.
DeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteGlad you liked it!
DeleteReally love the wisdom in this quote Kathy. Hope things are good for you. Take care friend. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteHi, Debbie--things are still good with us. Hope the same goes for you and yours! Thanks for stopping by.
